Hi! My name is Phil Saunders, and I am a full-time property investor specialising in Luxury Holiday homes. 

I wasn’t always a property investor. I spent ten years travelling all over the world working as a Blade Repair Technician in the wind turbine industry. A fast-paced, exciting career that I loved. 

The arrival of my twin daughters in 2017 gave me a new perspective on life, and I became extremely motivated to change my lifestyle, spend more time at home and watch my young family grow. 

In 2019, I signed up for a property education course run by Simon Zutschi, which changed my life forever. You can see the results of that course in my presentation to my classmates below. 

After re-educating myself in the property world, I spent a long time finding out what was really important to me and where I wanted to grow our business. I’ve always loved the outdoors and spending time in beautiful open spaces our country has to offer. I already had a glamping business that I set up in 2017 (www.peak-yurts.com) so transitioning into a full-time hospitality business seemed like an obvious step. 

We started slowly; Lantern View was our first house that we ran as a holiday home (still one of my favourite properties). I took this property on during the height of the first covid pandemic and initially that didn’t go well. However, as the lockdowns eased the property was incredibly well booked and I realised the amazing potential of the holiday letting strategy. 

Following on from our success we continued to buy more and more properties to use as luxury holiday lets. Within twelve months, we successfully bought 12 properties averaging at 1 per month! See the portfolio section to see what they are. 

After being in property for only a short time, I have more than replaced the income I used to make working away on the wind turbines. More than that, I have also created an amazing legacy for my family by joint owning a large £1m+ portfolio. The value of this wealth will only increase over time which is the real benefit of buying and holding property for the long term.
